Boise -- Police say a man was able to briefly put a Boise Police officer in a "head lock" after assaulting the officer early Sunday morning.
Officers say the incident happened around 2 a.m. near 6th and Main Streets in Boise.
They say several Police officers were breaking-up a fist-fight between two other men, when 21-year-old Jacob Cavesuela from Boise grabbed one of the officers by the arm, and put him in a "head lock."
Boise Police spokesman Charles McClure told KTVB that was the wrong move.
"He wasn't in it for more than a few seconds," McClure said.
Afterward, several other officers subdued Cavasuela and immediately arrested him.
However, they say Cavasuela did refuse to obey the officers' commands, and was "punching and swinging his arms until he was physically taken into custody."
Cavasuela was taken to the Ada County Jail, and booked on felony battery of an officer and resisting arrest.
Police suspect alcohol was a factor in the incident.
