BOISE -- Police say a 28-year-old man was driving drunk with a small child in the front seat of his vehicle when he was arrested on Saturday.
Officers with the Boise Police say Butch L. Reichard failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .153/.148 on a breath test after he was pulled-over just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
They say a concerned citizen saw Reichard swerving, stopping at a green light, and committing several other traffic violations after allegedly buying beer at a gas station. Police say that citizen called them and reported Reichard.
Reichard was charged with misdemeanor DUI and misdemeanor injury to a child. Police say the child was placed in safe custody -- but was not placed in custody of the Idaho State Dept. of Health and Welfare.
