BOISE -- Police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal hit and run in Boise after they gave a suspect and vehicle description connected with the incident earlier on Friday.
Boise Police have charged Gavin B. Haley, 31 of Boise, with felony leaving the scene of an injury crash.
Boise Police say Haley turned himself in Friday evening and as he was arriving at the police station, officers were arriving at Haley's northwest Boise home. Investigators say they have Haley's vehicle, a 2003 black Land Rover, as evidence in the case.
The arrest came just hours after Boise Police publicly released a detailed description of the suspect and vehicle as a result of evidence gathered in the investigation.
Boise Police say Haley is accused of hitting and killing Victor Haskell, 53 of Garden City, as he was riding a bike. Police say Haskell died Thursday morning near State Street and 30th Avenue North.
It's expected the suspect will be arraigned Monday afternoon. Police say additional charges are possible.
In Idaho, leaving the scene of a deadly accident is a felony. Those convicted face up to five years in prison, may be fined up to $5,000, and will have driving privileges revoked for one year.
