BOISE -- The Boise Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that happened before 4:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the robbery occurred at a private business which is located upstairs of the Home Federal bank building on the corner of North 8th Street and West State Street.
Boise police say the suspect walked into the office and pulled out an edged weapon before verbally demanding money. The suspect then left of the office on foot with an unknown amount of money. The victim told police that he tried to chase the suspect on foot while calling out to the bank employees to call 911.
Police say the suspect was last seen running west bound on Hayes Street.
The suspect is described as a light skinned male adult, 5 feet 9 inches with a muscular build and around 20 to 30-years old. The suspect was seen wearing a dark knit cap with a blue bandanna over his face at the time of the robbery. He was also wearing a medium plaid zipped up jacket and blue jeans.
