Copper Wire Thieves
CALDWELL -- Two Caldwell men are under arrest after Caldwell Police say they were caught stealing copper wire from a local business.
James Swain, 46, and Thomas Moore, 31, of Caldwell were arrested early Tuesday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m., investigators spotted the two men taking copper wire from a business near Kit Avenue and Garber Street in Caldwell.
Police say the business has been robbed before. The losses are estimated at more than $100,000.
Investigators believe Swain and Moore are involved in other thefts and burglaries, and that more people are involved.
Both men were booked into the Canyon County Jail. Swain is charged with grand theft, burglary, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance. Moore is charged with grand theft, destruction of evidence, conspiracy and resisting arrest.
