BOISE – Boise Police have cited two adults after breaking up a large party in Columbia Village Saturday night that included teens drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.
When officers arrived they found around 150 teens at the house, which was filled with beer and hard liquor. They also find a sign charging $3 to get in, and more signs directing teens how to mix alcohol with prescriptions medications.
Neighbors reported three teen boys trying to break into a parked vehicle in the neighborhood. They alerted police after following them to a large party on the 5900 block of S. Rock Rose Place.
Police say the front door of the home was open and many teens were seen holding cans of beer and bottles of hard liquor. A small group of teens smoking marijuana ran outside when the saw police.
Two adults, Kristi Diamond, 38, and Nathan Thurston, 21, came downstairs to talk with officers. They were both given misdemeanor citations.
More than a dozen teens were detained as additional officers arrived on scene. Those teens were released to the custody of their parents.
One teenage boy, who police say tried to disrupt their investigation, was cited with resisting and obstructing officers.
