BOISE -- A man wanted for robbing a west Boise bank is now in police custody. This is the second time Boise Police detectives have arrested 64-year-old Jerry C. Tudehope of Boise.
Police found him at a relative's home Friday afternoon.
He is accused of robbing the Bank of the West branch on Emerald Street Thursday morning. The bank is just around the corner from a police station at City Hall West.
Police credit citizen tips with helping them identify the suspect. Officers say some evidence linking Tudehope to crime has been recovered.
"Once again, we have to thank the citizens of our city that are willing to come forward and help officers protect and insure their safety," said Sgt. Mark Barnett of the Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit. "When citizens give us information then let the officers do what they do best, investigate leads and find evidence for an arrest, we have to give those citizens credit where credit is due."
Tudehope is being booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of robbery.
In September of 2006, Boise Police found Tudehope at his home after they say he robbed the Cash Store on Overland with a knife. The clerk reported that Tudehope was wearing a Halloween mask and sunglasses.
