CALDWELL -- A Caldwell man wanted in connection with crash that killed a Nampa teenager Saturday morning was arrested in Nampa this afternoon.

Freddy Camacho-Quezada, 22, was taken into custody around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 2800 block of E. Massachusetts Avenue by detectives with the Caldwell Police Street Crimes Unit and Nampa Police officers.

He was booked into the Canyon County Jail on a charge of vehicular manslaughter. The arrest comes after a $1 million warrant was issued for his arrest Monday.

Idaho State Police say Quezada was driving a 2003 BMW passenger car at over 100 miles per hour when he crashed on Orchard Road. Nine people ranging in ages from 14 to 22 were in the car.

Investigators say Quezada was speeding, lost control and rolled through several chain link fences, uprooted a tree and came to rest upside down in an empty canal.

Stephanie Rodriguez, 15, of Nampa, died at the scene.

Police believe alcohol was a factor.

On Monday night, classmates of the victim held a candlelight vigil for her at Skyview High School.
