EAGLE -- Ada County deputies are trying to track down a woman they say stole credit cards out of a van. Deputies believe she used one of the cards to spend $1,300 in just one hour's time, then made $350 worth in purchases a few hours later.
Deputies now continue their search for the woman, who they say stole two credit cards from a possibly unlocked van outside the Shady Acres Café near Eagle on June 4th.
They say the victim parked his van near the store at 8 a.m. to take a business call inside. When he left the store a few hours later, he noticed several items were missing; including two credit cards, business cards, medical and social security cards.
When the victim called his credit card company to report the theft, they told him someone had already made multiple purchases in Eagle.
The man told deputies that a blonde-haired woman from Washington came into the store several times complaining of car trouble and asking for directions to Albertsons, where she said her relative was working.
Albertsons surveillance video shows a blonde-haired woman using one of the stolen credit cards at various stores in Eagle between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Video also shows the woman was driving a red, 1990s era Ford Aspire.
Ada County authorities are still trying to get more information on this woman. If you recognize her from surveillance photos or know anything else about this case, you're urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-2677.
