BOISE -- Police say a 21-year-old Boise man was arrested on felony drug charges, among other violations, near the scene of a shooting on Saturday at the Budget Inn near West Downtown Boise.
The man's connection to the shooting -- if any -- is not known at this time.
Boise Police say they stopped Brian R. McGraw as he walked away from the shooting scene at the Budget Inn on Saturday just before Midnight. They say McGraw had a large bag of marijuana in his possession. After searching McGraw's motel room, officers allegedly found digital scales, and several pre-packaged bags of marijuana.
They say the total weight of the marijuana confiscated from McGraw was more than 4.5 ounces, or approximately one quarter-pound.
Police won't say whether the motel room was the same room in which a man was shot about 20-minutes beforehand, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. They also won't reveal any other details in the case.
A call to the Ada County Prosecutor's Office regarding the case has also not been returned.
McGraw was booked on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Police say he also had several outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court.
