Boise Police were called to a burglary in progress around 1:30 a.m. at the Subway Restaurant at 1120 Broadway Avenue.
When officers arrived they could see movement inside the sandwich shop and set up a perimeter around the building waiting for the suspect to come out.
Police apprehended Wendy Hulbert, 34, as she exited the restaurant carrying a bag. Police found money in the the bag they believe was stolen from the shop.
Officers also noticed a red Chevy Suburban parked nearby. When they approached the SUV, police found Ryan Hales, 35, trying to hide between the seats.
Hales and Hulbert are husband and wife.
Police found evidence the pair had also burglarized a Garden City business earlier that evening where Hales was a former employee.
Inside the Suburban, police found the couple's infant child. The child was turned over to the custody of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
Hales and Hulbert were booked into the Ada County Jail and each charged with two counts of burglary.
