BOISE -- Police say a 34-year-old Emmett man was arrested early Sunday morning after driving drunk through a Boise neighborhood and damaging a front yard.
Officers say they received a call reporting a drunk driver near Latah and Cassia streets around 5:30 a.m.
Witnesses told police they spotted the suspect, who police later identified as 34-year-old George L. Moore III, running red lights and driving his pickup onto a lawn in the neighborhood.
Police say Moore struck landscaping items and damaged grass before driving away.
Police eventually stopped Moore in a nearby parking lot. He was given a breathalyzer test and registered a .27/28 blood alcohol level, according to officers.
A check through police records indicated Moore was suspended from driving and had prior DUI charges. He was booked at the Ada County Jail on felony DUI, felony driving without privileges, and misdemeanor hit and run.
