BOISE -- Two Boise men are accused of trying to steal copper wiring from a Boise business early Thursday morning.

Police say 18-year-old Brandyn L. Thompson and 20-year-old Joshua L. Thompson were booked into jail around 4 a.m. Officers reportedly caught them trying to break into a fenced compound near 36th and State Streets in Boise.

According to the Boise Police Department, the duo set off a burglary alarm which alerted officers, who responded to the business.

Both suspects tried to run away when confronted, according to Police. However, after a short foot chase they were apprehended.

Police say they found evidence the pair had planned to steal copper wiring from the business.

Both are charged with felony burglary.
