BOISE -- Officers arrested a 56-year-old California man after he allegedly used a knife and threatened to kill a grocery store employee, along with several bystanders Wednesday.

Steven L. Davis of Redwood City is charged with felony aggravated assault in connection with the incdient.

Boise police say Davis was asked to leave the grocery store on Myrtle Street after becoming agitated while waiting in line.

Once outside, they say the 56-year-old pushed a store employee with a bedroll he was carrying, then pulled out a knife and threatened to kill the employee, along with bystanders.

Officers found and arrested Davis a short time later across the street.

He's currently in the Ada County Jail.
