BOISE -- Officers arrested a 28-year-old mother of four on an outstanding felony warrant for injury to a child Thursday following an investigation into dangerous conditions in a west Boise home.
Investigators say Gypsie L. Akers was taken into custody at about 1 a.m. Thursday.
On May 1st, while conducting a welfare check, police say they found animal feces, piles of trash, and urine-soaked floors throughout the home.
Investigators say they also found evidence that the four children living in the home had been left without supervision on more than one occasion.
The children were turned over to the custody of relatives and the warrants were issued for Akers, police said.
