BOISE -- A man who pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine in southeastern Idaho has to serve jail time and forfeit cash collected during the illegal drug activity.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 39-year-old Lazaro Ramirez Arreola, of Parma, was sentenced Monday to 24 months in federal prison. He pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine as part of an agreement with federal prosecutors.
U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Arreola on Monday to forfeit $10,000 in cash proceeds from the drug deals and pay a $1,000 fine.
Federal prosecutors say Arreola conspired with other individuals to distribute meth from June 2010 to February 2011, when he was charged.
