Sheriff: Motel employee may be victim of violent act
BURLEY -- Authorities in Cassia County made a disturbing discovery Friday when they found a man's body in the crawl space under a Burley motel.
The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office’s has been investigating a suspicious incident at the Alpine Garden Motel after two men who worked there went missing earlier this month.
James Ambrose, 55, and Russ Taft, 54, were last seen on May 4. According to the sheriff's office, Ambrose stole a car from the motel and was spotted in the Las Vegas area last week.
Ambrose is wanted on a $250,000 warrant for grand theft out of Cassia County.
Investigators believe that Taft may be the victim of a violent act.
Today, the body of an adult male was found in the crawl space under the motel's office. The identity of the deceased man is still pending. Family members must also be notified.
An autopsy will be conducted on Monday to determine the man's cause of death.
