BOISE -- Boise Police say there was a shooting at the Budget Inn Saturday night, and right now, there is no suspect in custody.
Charles McClure with BPD says officers responded to a report of a shooting at the motel in downtown Boise, on the 2600 block of West Fairview Avenue, at about 11:30 p.m.
Witnesses told police that an adult man was shot in a motel room by an adult suspect. McClure says the victim was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be a non life threatening injury.
BPD Detectives are investigating, trying to figure out who shot the man. They say they're working several good leads in this case.
They also say, at this early point in the investigation, it does not appear as though there is a direct threat to the general community.
Finally, McClure says because of the nature of the active ongoing investigation no further information is available at this time.
