TWIN FALLS -- A Boise man is jailed after expressing outrage in Twin Falls bank that refused to cash his check.
Lt. Craig Stotts with the Twin Falls Police Department says 32-year-old Mark Alan Olson went into the Zions Banks to cash a check. However, the clerk noticed his driver's license was damaged and hard to read, so he was turned away.
Witnesses told police that Olson was extremely upset and threatened to come back with a mask and gun. Police were called to the bank and officers came out to take a report.
About an hour and ten minutes after Olson left the bank, Stotts says he returned. This time he had a new, temporary driver's license he obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Bank employees triggered the alarm. The check was cashed and Olson drove away.
A few minutes later Olson's car was stopped near a business along Blue Lakes Boulevard. He was taken into custody and Stotts says he will be charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.
