GOODING -- Two men have been arrested in the throat slashing of a Blackfoot man who was found injured along a rural road in south-central Idaho.
The Gooding County sheriff's office says 30-year-old Ryan Eugene Cunningham of Wendell and 49-year-old Thomas Hooley of Twin Falls were arrested Wednesday in Twin Falls County. They were expected to be arraigned Thursday on charges of aggravated battery and first-degree kidnapping for injuries suffered by 31-year-old Jason Given of Blackfoot.
The men are jailed with bail set at $1 million each.
An emergency medical technician spotted Given alongside a road south of Wendell on July 13. Chief Deputy Jerry Pierce said Given had been stabbed in the head, had a fractured skull and his throat had been slashed.
Officials say Givens identified his alleged attackers.
