BOISE -- Police say a 24-year-old homeless woman was caught burglarizing, and possibly attempting to live inside a Boise home on Saturday.

Officers with Boise Police arrested Lashundra Denise Martin on Saturday morning. They say an alert neighbor who had been asked to watch the property called the police after spotting her inside the house near W. Curling Drive, just off Bogus Basin Road.

BPD officers say Martin was actually found hiding inside a bedroom in the home. They also say she likely broke a window to get inside.

Police spokesperson Lynn Hightower says Martin's motives were unclear.

"It didn't appear that she'd stolen anything; it did appear that she was maybe trying to live there," Hightower said.

Martin was charged with felony burglary. She's currently in the Ada County jail.
