HAILEY, Idaho -- A 29-year-old Hailey man remains in critical but stable condition after he was shot in the stomach outside of a Subway restaurant on Saturday.
Anthony Parsons of Hailey was flown by helicopter to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise after being shot in the stomach with a .40 caliber pistol, according to Hailey Police Chief Jeff Gunter.
Gunter say Parsons had been arguing with an employee of the Subway restaurant over money when a friend of that employee got a .40 caliber pistol from his car and shot the 29-year-old once.
Adam K. Boyd, 30, is scheduled to abe arraigned on Monday. Boyd is accused of aggravated battery with a weapons enhancement.
Police say Boyd was not owed any money, but apparently decided to involve himself in the argument.
Chief Gunter said police originally jailed Boyd on second-degree murder charges, which were eventually reduced to the current charges.
Boyd was scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon.
