GARDEN CITY -- A Garden City woman, Boise man, and a man from Washington state are behind bars after police report finding a stash of syringes, meth, pot, and other paraphernalia during a traffic stop early Friday morning.
The traffic stop happened at approximately 12:20 a.m. near Memorial Parkway and Adams Street.
Police say that's when they noticed 28-year-old Kyle Todd was driving a Ford Focus which had a burned out brake light -- a safety issue.
The officer who stopped Todd's car reportedly observed "exceptionally nervous" behavior on behalf of Todd and his passengers, including 32-year-old Amy Fellom of Garden City, and 32-year-old Joshua Dutil from Washington State.
Police say the suspicious behavior included trying to hide a backpack.
They say a police K-9 was eventually called to the scene and "alerted" on the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the car turned up 11 syringes, a scale, a gram of methamphetamine, and 4 grams of marijuana, according to police.
Dutil, Fellom, and Todd remain in the Ada County jail on felony drug charges.
They're scheduled to be arraigned Friday afternoon.
