SEATTLE -- A former Boise State football player is in the ICU at a Seattle hospital after a savage beating.
24-year-old JD Aylward was found beaten and unconscious in the streets of a neighborhood in Bellevue, Washington last Sunday. His mother now has a CaringBridge website updating his condition for family and friends.
Police in Washington are investigating to find out exactly what happened to Aylward, but his mother says the beating was severe. And now she wants answers.
In 2006, Aylward played for a year at Boise State. He was part of the team that won that first Fiesta Bowl. On his facebook page, he says he graduated from Boise State in 2010.
