COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- A federal bankruptcy court has ordered a former Kootenai County deputy clerk to pay an additional $70,000 in restitution.
Sandra Martinson pleaded guilty last August to embezzling $139,000 from the county over the course of a decade.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reports Martinson was ordered to repay the county $49,000 last October while being sentenced for grand theft. County clerk Cliff Hayes announced Thursday that Martinson and her husband had been ordered to pay back more money.
The embezzlement was discovered after Martinson retired in November 2010.
