BOISE -- An Eagle man charged in a deadly crash on Halloween night has pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter.

Andrew Cassell, 25, entered the not guilty plea in an Ada County courtroom Monday and will stand trial.

Prosecutors say Cassell admitted to officers the night of the crash that he had been drinking, and his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. It was measured at .14.

His passenger, Aldina Ekic, 21, died when Cassell crashed into a power pole on State Street near Horseshoe Bend Road.  The accident happened around 3 a.m.

His trial is scheduled to start on April 8th.
