FIRTH, Idaho -- A 59-year-old man police say stabbed another man has been taken into custody in eastern Idaho.
The Bingham County Sheriff's office says officers forced their way into a home in Firth after a three-hour standoff on Saturday.
Officers arrested Robert Vincent Arellano. He was booked into the Bingham County Jail on a charge of battery with intent to commit a felony.
Police say an adult male received a stab wound about 4 p.m. Saturday and was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. He is reportedly doing fine.
Police responded to investigate the stabbing but the suspect barricaded himself in the house.
