TWIN FALLS, Idaho -- A southern Idaho woman who turned to drug dealing after her canine grooming business went to the dogs will serve a year in jail.

Carlene Harding was sentenced last week to five years in prison, which was suspended. The Twin Falls woman was instead given probation and ordered to serve one year in jail, with credit for three days served.

Harding was charged in August 2010 with felony marijuana trafficking in Gooding County. She pleaded guilty last year to an amended charge of felony possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.

The Times-News reports that Harding owns the dog grooming business, A Classier Clip, in Twin Falls. She told investigators in 2010 that business was down by half amid the recession, leading her to sell drugs on the side.
