NAMPA -- The Canyon County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who may have tried to entice two children into his van Sunday afternoon.
It happened just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Cherry Lane and Northside Boulevard.
The sheriff's office said the man asked two young boys to get into his van and show him the way to Middleton.
The children refused and the man was last seen driving away westbound on Cherry Lane.
The man is described as between the age of 40 and 50, with long gray hair and a gray beard. He was wearing circular glasses and his lower teeth were described as being in poor condition. He was wearing a blue beanie cap and a black jacket.
Deputies say the van is believed to be an older style blue mini-van similar to a Dodge Caravan. The van had slight damage to the right front quarter panel.
The boys were not harmed in the incident and are home safe with family.
The sheriff's office says parents should talk to their children about 'stranger danger.'
Anyone with information in this case, is encouraged to contact the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office at 454-7531.
