BOISE -- A Garden City couple is facing drug trafficking charges after they were found with more than 500 grams of cocaine.

In what appears to be a sting operation by the Ada County Sheriff's Narcotics Team, they met 44-year-old Fernando Cortes-Ponce at a Boise hotel Sunday, with the intent to buy cocaine from him. Forty-two-year-old Felipa Gomez was also at the hotel.

The couple had a little more than 501 grams of cocaine that was packaged to be sold.  That's valued at about $25,000.

,p>The two were arraigned Monday afternoon, but are now being held until their immigration status is determined.
