BOISE -- Former doctor, teacher and congressional candidate Cynthia Clinkingbeard will be sentenced in August for pulling a gun on three Staples store employees earlier this year.
Prosecutors say she threatened employees at the Staples store at Chinden Boulevard and Eagle Road during a March incident.
Her attorney says she was in a "hypo-manic" state at the time.
Clinkingbeard pleaded guilty Monday to one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped two other assault counts, as well as a weapons enhancement.
Sentencing is set for August 6.
