NAMPA -- A Nampa woman is accused of leaving her young sons alone in the bathtub. Police say one of them nearly drowned.
32-year-old Stefanie Antrim was arrested Thursday afternoon for Felony Injury to a Child. According to court documents, she admitted to police that she left her one-year-old and four-year-old sons alone in a bathtub on Wednesday evening.
Antrim also told police she had been drinking since the afternoon and estimated she'd had four or five 16 ounce Budweiser beers. Police say her blood alcohol level was one and a half times the legal limit to drive.
Antrim told police she left the boys alone in the tub to load the dishwasher and smoke a cigarette. While she was outside, her four-year-old began screaming and told her the baby had turned blue.
Antrim told police she saw her one-year-old floating face down in the water and that he was blue. She believes there was six to nine inches of water in the tub.
Police say the baby was injured and taken to St. Alphonsus in Nampa. He was treated, kept overnight, and released from the hospital the next day.
