TWIN FALLS -- Prosecutors in Twin Falls County have dropped a charge of felony injury to a child that was filed against a woman whose 14-month-old son ingested oxycodone.

Aeriel Wood was charged last week, but The Times-News reports prosecutors dropped the charge on Friday.

Prosecutor Grant Loebs says prosecutors need to prove how the child ingested the drugs and who is responsible.

Wood told police she went with a friend to a house she had never been to before on Aug. 30 and that is where the boy found the drugs.

Court records say paramedics performed CPR on the child on the hood of his mother's car before he was taken to the hospital. Tests indicated the child also had opiates and sedatives in his system.
