BOISE -- The Boise woman accused of dumping mayonnaise and other condiments in a book return box at a local library has been deemed competent to stand trial.
In court today, a judge set a preliminary hearing for 74-year-old Joy Cassidy on Aug. 26.
Police say Cassidy was charged with malicious injury to property and carrying a concealed weapon because she had a loaded handgun under a seat in her car at the time.
A request has been made for a Canyon County prosecutor to handle the case because Cassidy may be a witness in an unrelated case in Ada County.
