BOISE -- Police say 19-year-old Greysen K. Purdy punched his parole officer in the face, and was then immediately arrested on Thursday.
According to Boise Police Spokesman Chuck McClure, the incident happened at the Idaho Probation and Parole Facility at 8752 West Fairview Avenue, around 11:30 a.m.
According to McClure, Purdy's parole officer was in the process of arresting the 19-year-old on probation violations when the assault happened.
McClure went on to say that during the resulting scuffle, the parole officer only sustained minor injuries, and was able to successfully subdue and arrest Purdy before Boise Police arrived on scene.
Purdy was then transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on felony battery charges, along with misdemeanor parole violation charges.
According to Idaho records, Purdy has a criminal history that includes theft by receiving, possessing or disposing of stolen property, which is a felony.
