BOISE – A Boise man is going to prison for at least 15 years for robbing a west Boise bank last spring.
Jerry Tudehope, 65, was sentenced Friday for robbing the Bank of the West branch on Emerald Street on May 11. The bank is right around the corner from the police station at City Hall West.
Tudehope was arrested at a relative’s home the next day after police got a citizen's tip identifying him from a surveillance photo of the robbery.
Tudehope pleaded guilty to the robbery charge in July. Prosecutors told us that Tudehope had been released from prison in February after serving time for the 2006 robbery of the Cash Store on Overland Road in Boise.
He will not be eligible for parole until he is 80 years old.
