BOISE -- A Boise man is in jail on felony first-degree arson charges after police say he intentionally set another man's SUV on fire early Saturday morning.

Boise Police Officers say 35-year-old Julio S. Garcia is suspected of setting the vehicle on fire just outside a home near 3100 South Apple Street. The incident happened around 4:25 a.m on Saturday. They say Garcia destroyed the vehicle when he allegedly set it on fire. The blaze also damaged a nearby garage, some bushes, and trees.

Officers who responded to reports of the fire say they quickly found the SUV's owner, and later determined that the man who set the fire was likely Garcia.

Police say both the owner and Garcia are well-known to each other.
