BOISE -- Federal prosecutors say the eighth member of a dangerous gang is headed to prison, this time a 27-year-old man who went by the nickname "Guy."
Adelaido Gomez was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Boise to 125 months in federal prison for his role in soliciting and ordering the intimidation of witnesses in two homicides committed by members of the Brown Magic Clica.
In July, Gomez pleaded guilty to conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise.
As part of his plea agreement, Gomez acknowledged he was a member of the gang, known by its initials "BMC."
In addition to eight BMC members who have been sentenced to prison in this case, others await punishment.
They've acknowledged roles in a string of violent crimes in southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon.
