BOISE -- There was a lot of blue and orange down at the Idaho Statehouse today.
Boise State's Blue Thunder Marching Band, along with informational booths celebrating the Broncos, packed into the Capitol rotunda.
Gov. Butch Otter signed a proclamation declaring today Boise State University Day in Idaho.
The governor, a former student at Boise Junior College, says the school has come a long way in the past 10 years, doubling its number of masters programs, and quadrupling its doctoral programs.
"Boise State has grown very fast, not only in its dimension, as far as population of students, but in its dimension of the educational process," said Otter.
Also at today's event, Otter also said he was thrilled to meet numerous college students who received the Governor's Cup scholarship.
