BOISE -- Idaho lawmakers will tackle health insurance and property taxes, among other issues Wednesday at the Statehouse.

Last week, the House Health and Welfare Committee approved the governor's plan to create an online marketplace for individuals and small businesses to buy insurance. That plan will be debated Wednesday morning in the committee's regular meeting in room EW20.

It's also day number two of hearings on two competing bills on the personal property tax exemption for businesses. The hearings should begin at 8 a.m. in House Revenue and Tax Committee.

Hundreds showed up for Tuesday's public testimony.

One bill is backed by the counties, the other is supported by industry and Governor Otter. We're anticipating a vote by the House Revenue and Taxation Committee Wednesday.
