BOISE -- A Nampa woman will spend six years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Maria De Jesus Hernandez, 62, was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Boise.
Hernandez and her partner, Benjamin Perez-Gonzalez, both of Nampa, were arrested on October 25, 2006, following an eight-month investigation into the couple’s meth trafficking operation.
Perez-Gonzalez pled guilty to distributing meth and was sentenced in June to 13 years in federal prison.
Hernandez was convicted after a jury trial on four counts of distributing meth and one count of possessing meth with the intent to distribute it.
Both Perez-Gonzalez and Hernandez were also required to forfeit a large amount of money seized during their arrest and two properties in Nampa.
After serving her prison sentence, Hernandez will serve three years of probation.
