Meagan Belnap, 20, is charged with four counts of sexual abuse of a child under 16.
CALDWELL -- A 20-year-old substitute teacher for the Caldwell School District has been indicted on four counts of sexual abuse of a child under 16.
Caldwell Police say Meagan Belnap is accused of having inappropriate physical contact with four children, boys and girls - ages 12 to 14.
Belnap worked on a temporary basis at Syringa Middle School in Caldwell. The incidents happened between Nov. 2007 and May 2008.
Investigators says she solicited sex, but it never went farther than that.
Belnap was indicted by a Canyon County grand jury earlier this week and was arraigned Thursday.
She remains in the Canyon County Jail on $75,000 bond.
The Caldwell School District is not talking publicly about the case, citing that it is a personnel matter.
Belnap did pass a background check to go work for the school district.
