Boise Rescue Mission receives $100,000 gift

BOISE - The Boise Rescue Mission has gone from filling a $300,000 budget shortfall to a major donation above and beyond that number.

Today the rescue mission received a $100,000 gift from Petso Financial.

Not long ago the homeless shelter announced it needed $300,000 to make it through the fall.

Businesses and community members were quick to answer the call, including Dave Petso.

And now he decided to extend that spirit of giving to make sure the rescue mission was taken care of through the winter months as well.

"It isn't often that you receive a gift of $100,000, and when that happens it really boosts the organization, we're able to look ahead now to weeks and months instead of days," said Boise Rescue Mission CEO Bill Roscoe.

The Boise Rescue Mission says they are always in need of donations and volunteers.
