Someone stuffed this Porta-potty full of dead animals poached in the surrounding area
BOISE - Idaho Fish and Game officers are trying to track down a poacher who killed several protected birds and some squirrels.
The birds and squirrels were strategically placed in a Porta-potty in a South Boise neighborhood.
Construction workers using that Porta-potty discovered the gruesome scene early Thursday morning.
Fish and Game officials believe the birds and squirrels were shot that morning and placed there before workers arrived
“All of the birds are protected, several do have hunting season in the fall but definitely closed this time of the year,” Matt O'Connell, Fish and Game Conservation Officer said. ”I was very shocked to find a valley quail, 2 morning doves, and 2 crows and 2 long billed curlews which are a migratory species which there is no hunting season allowed and all these birds have Federal protection.”
O'Connell says this is one of the most bizarre and disturbing scenes he has come across in his 13 years with Fish and Game.
Poaching is a criminal offense.
Anyone with information about it can make an anonymous call to the Citizens Against Poaching hotline at 1-800-632-5999.
