Boise firefighters cleaning mercury spill on White Cloud Drive
07/24/2008 10:55 PM MDT
BOISE - Boise Fire Department Hazmat teams are on the scene of a mercury spill, at a home in the 700 block of White Cloud Drive.
Assistant Fire Chief Dave Hanneman says they're not sure where the mercury came from, but it's possibly from a fire at that house back on July 13th.
Hanneman said the amount of mercury was more than is in a thermometer.
Children were playing with the chemical, which was in a gutter.
One of those kids has been sent to the hospital for observation and testing, and all of the kids’ clothes are being collected and bagged.
