BOISE -- The third annual Spudtown Knockdown women's roller derby takes over Boise this weekend.

If you have never experienced roller derby, the organizers say this is your best chance to.

The tournament is in its 3rd year.

There are ten teams here from all over the northwest, including Washington, Oregon, California and Montana.

And although there can only be one winner at the end-- organizers say this is the fasted growing women's sport in the country

"Its just the comradery. A lot of these leagues play against each other during the regular season, and they play against each other and have a bit of history. So they get together, they play a bit of roller derby and then they have a little bit of fun afterward," said Tournament Director Kevin Jensen

It's a double elimination tournament on both Saturday and Sunday at Century Link arena.

The fun starts again Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

The winner pay out is $600.
