HUNTINGTON, Ore. – One woman is dead after a crash on I-84 Saturday.

At approximately 12:31 p.m., a 1982 Ford four-door driven by Jenna Lee Ulrich, 22, from Sammamish, Washington, was eastbound on I-84 near milepost 339. She lost control and the vehicle slid sideways into the center of the eastbound lanes, where it was struck in the side by a trailing commercial truck.

Ulrich was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, Thomas Wayne Stroppel, 26, from Seattle, received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Holy Rosary Hospital in Ontario.

The truck driver, Lloyd Adam Knoblich, 51, from Colville, Washington, was not injured.

All three people were wearing seatbelts.

Icy conditions were a factor in the crash. Oregon State Police are investigating.
