HIDDEN SPRINGS -- Boise Police say a slow moving wildfire scorched three acres of sagebrush in a rural area northwest of the Hidden Springs community.
Police say fire crews from Boise and Eagle quickly extinguished the grass fire around noon on Thursday. Police say fire crews are currently "mopping up" the remains of the afternoon blaze and will continue to do so for the remainder of Thursday afternoon.
Police also say the fire did not threaten a nearby homeowner, who had protective landscaping and "defensive space" around his home.
Investigators say the fire was likely accidental.
