WENDELL, Idaho -- Law enforcement officials in Gooding County say a man has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a shooting in the southern Idaho town of Wendell.
Gooding County Sheriff Shaun Gough said Mark Perez was expected to be arraigned in 5th District Court Friday afternoon. Perez was arrested after Wendell police responded to a report of a shooting late Thursday night.
Wendell police Sgt. Jeff Lenker said the victim was shot three times while at a friend's house and that he was airlifted to a Boise hospital. His condition has not been released.
Officials say three toddlers were in the house at the time of the shooting, but they were not injured.
