BOISE -- A severely injured Marine from northern Idaho was given a standing ovation on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives as lawmakers thanked him for his service in Afghanistan.
Lance Cpl. Randal Wright, a 23-year-old from Cottonwood, was introduced to Congress on Monday as a guest of U.S. Rep. Walt Minnick, who represents Idaho's 1st Congressional District.
Wright was injured by an improvised explosive device, or IED, and lost his legs and an arm. He is being treated at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Wright also met with U.S. Rep. Mike Simpson, who represents eastern Idaho, while touring the Capitol this week.
